My credentials are mostly self taught, but I did spend some time as a stock broker for a very large brokerage firm that has recently been taken over by a large bank. Before my time as a broker I spent many years in the real estate mortgage business (before this current mess) with one of the top ten lenders in the USA at that time. I understand that we are programmed to look for credentials from top business schools and other such degrees, but I isn’t it the teaching of these so called “top schools” that led us to this current debacle? To me it seems as though most of the so called top financial minds in the world have been taught by a handful of professors.
